10. To go a full year without hearing “plant a seed”
9. For all preachers to refrain from saying….. “you’re not hearing me”. Or “is anybody in the house?” Or “no, no, you don’t get it” - (We hear you. We’re in the house, and we get it)
8. That preachers would dress more like preachers and less like country music stars
7. For those who “know” they have “all truth” to be more accepting of folks who may not
6. For preachers to come clean on what they really believe
5. That there would be more emphasis on Christ and less on coolness
4. That store receipts would cease to be a minimum of 36 inches long
3. That everyone would discern the difference, when posting on Facebook, between “sharing” and “bragging”
2. That folks would realize that a Morman in the White House who has impeccable morals would be better than a hothead from Georgia who has none – or a Muslim sympathizer whose agenda is to “transform” America
And the number one wish for 2012…….
1. That in November, President Obama will receive notice that he soon will be living fulltime in his home - in Chicago!
Dana, I couldn’t have said it better….I think there is a real need for a church that caters to the 55+. I think these younger ones think we don’t know HOW to think….believe me WE DO! I am in your AMEN CORNER….enjoyed the blog!
(all of it)
I think that some of your wishes could plausibly come to pass, but for the others, you’d have to be like the other two guys who can successfully keep a secret.
Enjoyed the comments. I especially appreciate your statement that.
“a Morman in the White House who has impeccable morals would be better than a hothead from Georgia who has none.”
My lack of confidence in Obama, when he ran for president, was that he had little to no experience at anything. He had no business experience and his only real political experience was as a short term senator form a questionable district in Chicago.
I still think experience counts for something. That is why I often go to Wikipedia for a more factual, unbiased, history on candidates.
